Besides the pure reading of marks (codes), the quality of a marking can be identified and examined. Despite any existing pollution or use of different readers the symbol quality of 1D and 2D codes can be verified with by means of a verification system on the entire production process and later in the trade. It's possible to optimize a marking system and to increase the reading speed of an ID reader with a permanent control of the quality.
The used verification methods for our systems are discriped e.g. in Section 8 and Annex N of the International Symbol Specification for Data Matrix, Section 8 and Annex M of the International Symbol Specification for QR Code, Section 3 and 4 of the Uniform Symbol Specification for PDF417 and other published by the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and directives confirmed by the ANSI (American National Standards Institute).
